August 22nd 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of the release of J Dilla‘s seminal BBE Records long player ‘The Shining’. Featuring Busta Rhymes, Common, Pharoah Monch, Black Thought and Dwele among others, the album was largely complete at the time of Dilla’s untimely death with the finishing touches added by Karriem Riggins and Dilla’s circle of collaborators shortly after his death. In celebration of the LP’s 10th year, BBE Records are releasing a 7″ vinyl boxset of the complete album!
