Record Store Day Events with Osunlade, Boddhi Satva & SunPalace

Join BBE Music and friends this Record Store Day for vinyl shopping, dancing and drinking from the The Institute of Light in London Fields. Whilst both musicians need no introduction, the BBE Music RSD in-store is going to be celebrating two recent special releases from Osunlade~Yoruba Records and Boddhi Satva Official, as well as our exclusive RSD release, ‘Rude Movements’ by SunPalace.
An iconic 80’s UK jazz-funk cut, hugely influential during the early days of dance music, the long-standing status of Rude Movements as a go-to record at David Mancuso’s Loft Parties make this year’s re-issue especially poignant. For the 7″ cut, original producer Mike Collins has created an exclusive edit of the track to occupy both sides of the vinyl. Mike will be attending the event and signing copies of the record.
After the release of album & book ‘Pyography’ on vinyl, we welcome mercurial DJ, producer and ordained Yoruba priest Osunlade~Yoruba Records to the BBE Record Store in London Fields.
‘Pyography’ is a heavyweight album nestled in the front and back covers of a lovingly printed book containing a brief history of the Yoruba culture, Scott Marr’s evocative images and those all-important traditional oriki prayers by Maria Oggun Bemi. We also welcome long-term BBE Music friend Boddhi Satva Official in celebration of his recent 12″ release “Love Will” featuring Bilal Saeed. “‘Love Will’ is a message of hope in these very difficult times the world is facing… It’s an ode to hope and resilience found within through acceptance and love.” Boddhi Satva tells Billboard. ‘Love Will’ 12″ is going to be available for purchase in-store on RSD.
