BBE 20th Anniversary Rooftop Party & Ace Hotel London Takeover

To celebrate 20 years of Barely Breaking Even, we’ll be taking over the Ace Hotel on Sunday June 26th (as part of the hotel’s Tanlines summer series). More info here

Event starts at 3pm on the hotel’s stunning 7th floor terrace and runs until 1am in the Miranda club basement.

A day (and night) of timeless music from BBE stalwarts:
Rich Medina, John Morales, Kev Beadle, Keb Darge, Phil Asher and Stuart Patterson alongside label founder Peter Adarkwah (plus more to be announced).

The bird’s-eye 7th floor bar, 100 room and terrace takes over the entire rooftop of the Ace Hotel. It’s decked out with furnishings by Michael Marriott, a first-of-its-kind lighting installation by Fabien Cappello and boasts panoramic views of Shoreditch, the Gherkin and the City of London. The perfect setting to begin the day gently and soulful with laid back tracks on the terrace before upping the tempo and moving inside to the 100 Room with equally stunning views of London.

After the Tanlines free daytime session we move downstairs to the hotel’s Miranda basement.
Rich Medina is flying in from the states to host his legendary Jump N Funk party in the hotel’s Miranda club basement. Starting life as a small New York event aimed at raising awareness for Fela Kuti’s musical message, Rich’s Jump N Funk party has now been rocking dancefloors across the globe for over 15 years. Rich releases his Jump N Funk compilation on BBE this month and he will be dropping the infectious sound of afrobeat from 8.30pm-1am in Miranda. We will also be hosting the hotel’s lobby bar from 7-11pm making for a full day’s takeover of inspirational music in this amazing setting.
