2006: two disco lovers meet by chance – one a Glaswegian, Al Kent, in the DJ booth, the other a Mancunian on the dance-floor. After a few months of long distance Disco Love, Northern Disco™ was born.
That was ten years ago and Northern Disco is history. But those sweaty nights in dark balloon filled rooms in Manchester have become almost legendary (especially the Dimitri from Paris party!).
Al Kent’s Disco Love Affair with Manchester, born in those dark rooms a decade ago, continues to bloom. He’s played the city a few times since those heady Northern Disco Days of course, but never alone, not for a four hour set and never under his Million Dollar Disco umbrella.
So, come and sweat with us in one of our favourite dark basements for four very special hours of twisted disco.
