Producer and DJ, Richy Pitch moved from UK to Ghana, West Africa and took on the challenge to record an LP which drew on his many musical experiences during his stay. His goal was to record with local stars and talent and fuse the classic sound of Ghanaian music with his own production skills that he’d already developed in London. Two years later and back to London, Richy knocked on BBE Records’ door to deliver Ye Fre Mi Richy Pitch. (They call me Richy Pitch in Twi) His creation gives the listener an excellent taste of the many different styles of Ghanaian and West African music from Highlife, Hiplife to Afrobeat to traditional percussion music, all combined with a fresh production twist. It features the cream of Ghanaian music talent including MOBO and MTV Africa winner Samini, Reggie Rockstone, known as the Godfather of Hiplife and talented MC’s such as Wanlov the Kubolor, M3NSA and M.anifest, plus many other inspiring Ghanaian artists.
This the instrumental version of the album.
