G.I. DISCO are the Berlin-based DJs and music-activists Kalle Kuts & Daniel W. Best. They are on a mission to bring back that Soul-, Funk-, RnB-, Pop-and Dance sound that they first heard in the 80s on AFN radio and the clubs of the US-Army troops in West-Germany. A music that still has a strong influence on today´s pop- and dance music.

Kalle is a DJ/ music producer/engineer/musician involved in dozens of major and independent releases. He is also the “Head of Artist Relations” at Native Instruments (software instruments manufacturer, worldwide market leader) where he was developing/handling endorsements with artists such as Daft Punk, Timbaland or Trevor Horn in 2007/08.

Daniel is best known for his A&R work for Bestseven/Sonar Kollektiv, as a local all-round Promoter in Berlin for events with Dixon, Jazzanova,

Gilles Peterson, Fat Freddys Drop, Questlove etc. Furthermore as a veteran free-style Dj in Berlin and last but on least manager and Booker of Jazzanova.

Their G.I.DISCO events and DJ-sets have become an open secret and pull not only a regular hip Berlin crowd, but also celebrities such as the R&B superstar Kelly Rowland and also the Berlin based DJ-jetset.

In October their first CD compilation G.I. Disco is due to be released on BBE Records.
