After February’s insane session with Patrick Forge we are back at TRC with another heavyweight line-up.
Joining Jean-Claude on the decks this time is France’s finest Julien Achard, head honcho of the brilliant Diggers Digest, while on the stage Bukky Leo, saxophonist for both Fela Kuti and Tony Allen, steps up with a ten-piece afrobeat set.

With residencies at Plastic People and Fabric under his belt the If Music head honcho will be bringing his deeeeep crates to the fore. Expect to hear all genres come together with the sole intention of making you move.
Julien Achard (Diggers Digest)
Collector extraordinare of all things esoteric and wonderful, Julien Achard returns to ‘A Jazz Thing’ riding high on a string of killer releases, Koute Jazz, Digital Zandoli etc. via his excellent label Diggers Digest.
Expect a globe-trotting set filled to the brim with dancefloor goods.
Bukky Leo & Black Egypt
Having started out in his youngun days as saxophonist to both Fela Kuti and Tony Allen, Bukky Leo arrived in London and became a key figure of the fledgling acid jazz scene. Fresh off the back of a new release with his Black Egypt ensemble, we are honoured to have him down at TRC with his ten-piece (!!!) band.
Rising stars of the party circuit and all round music heads Houseplants kick off proceedings in fine style.

They do some of the best sounding PAs out there, if you’ve been to TRC in the last 3 months then you’ll know what we’re talking about.
